The St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry (our parish food pantry) is very grateful this year for all the donations we've received, especially since we now have so many clients signing up for help. People are greatly needed to assist "shoppers" as they choose items on Thursdays between 3 & 4pm. Volunteers are always paired with another person and do not need to help more than once a month. If you are interested, please call Linda at the rectory, 603-625-6409.
It's his 25th Anniversary this year!
It is the most basic desire within the human heart to search for lasting peace and happiness. In response to this desire Jesus says: “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matt 11:28-30). If we turn to Jesus without hesitations or reservations He will give us that “peace that surpasses all understanding” (Phil 4:7), the peace we desire.
St. Anthony of Padua Parish, where the French tradition will always be part of the fabric of our community, is wholly committed to bringing Christ to whoever seeks Him. This happens primarily in the sacraments, but also in fellowship, in Scripture studies, and other group meetings. Join us as we throw open the doors to Christ and allow Him to “give us rest.”

ON THURSDAYS, OCTOBER 15, 22, & 29
in Tetu Hall @ 6:30-8:00PM
Our ultimate goal is to be a saint. It is our greatest calling and what is desired for us by our Creator. Bishop Robert Barron paints a beautiful and mysterious image of what it takes to be a holy follower.Boxes of Joy
This fall we will again be participating in the Box of Joy ministry, a Christmas shoebox gift outreach organized by local Catholic schools, parishes and groups nationwide. We will bless children suffering from extreme poverty by filling boxes with toys and other gifts, sharing the joy of Christmas, and planting seeds of hope through the Gospel. We encourage everyone to pack a Box of Joy! Boxes will be available after Masses during late September.

PRAYER FOR OUR CHURCH ANNIVERSARY
Good and Gracious God, we give You thanks as we celebrate the 125th Anniversary of St. Anthony Parish. Deepen within us a sense of gratitude for the heritage created by the many sacrifices, dreams and prayers of all those who have gone before us. Continue to make our parish and its people a blessing to our community and embolden us to move forward with strength as we build up Your Kingdom through our parish life. Through our faithfulness and prayers, continue to bless the work of Your Church, making this parish truly a shining light in our world for many years to come. Following the teaching of our patron, St. Anthony, and through his intercession, make our sacred space a place of refreshment and strength for those who seek solace and comfort in a divided and difficult world. Create in us renewed hearts that can build a future as bright and generous as our past.
We ask these things, as we ask all things, through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
A PLACE OF CONSOLATION AND HOPE
Think of a Catholic cemetery as a bridge between this world and the next. We believe that in death, life is changed, not ended; the soul departs the body and enters everlasting life. Catholic cemeteries are consecrated “sleeping places”, set apart and solemnly blessed by the Church for those who now await the Resurrection of the Body. Unlike other burial places, Catholic cemeteries reflect our deep belief that we and our loved ones have been the dwelling places of the Holy Spirit in life and will continue to be so for those who now await the promise of Everlasting Life.
There are 66 Catholic cemeteries in NH.
See www.catholicnh.org/cemeteries to locate one near you.
"I look forward to the Resurrection of the Dead and the Life of the world to come." (Nicene Creed)
